Electric energy meter is used to measure electric energy, also known as watt hour meter, fire meter, kilowatt hour meter, refers to the instrument for measuring various electrical quantities.

When using the electric energy meter, it should be noted that under the condition of low voltage (no more than 500 V) and small current (dozens of a), the electric energy meter can be directly connected to the circuit for measurement. In the case of high voltage or high current, the watt hour meter can not be directly connected to the line, but should be used with voltage transformer or current transformer.

Mechanical electric energy meter

Although there are many types and models of mechanical electric energy meters (also called induction electric energy meters), their structures are basically similar. They are composed of measuring mechanism, compensation and adjustment device and auxiliary parts (shell, frame, end button box, and name plate).

Electronic energy meter

Mechanical electric energy meter with single electric energy measurement function is difficult to be competent for time-sharing measurement, load control, parameter preset, data acquisition, storage and real-time transmission and other functions at the same time.

Static electric energy meter

Static electric energy meter is a new type of electric energy meter which is based on the advanced mechanism of electronic energy measurement and inherits the advantages of traditional induction watt hour meter. It adopts the structure of full shielding and full sealing, and has good anti electromagnetic interference performance. It integrates power saving, reliability, lightness, high accuracy, high overload and anti stealing electricity.

Prepaid electric energy meter with electric card

Electric card prepaid electric energy meter is electromechanical integration prepayment meter, also known as IC card meter or magnetic card meter, as shown in the figure. It not only has the advantages of electronic watt hour meter, but also adopts advanced microelectronic technology to collect, process and save data, so as to realize the management function of paying first and then using electricity.
